Chile named 23-man squad for 2014 World Cup
Chile’s head Sampaoli coach announced 23-man roster with seven players cut from the original party named on May 13.
Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, recovering from right knee surgery, figured in Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli’s 23-player FIFA World Cup™ squad announced on Sunday.
Vidal underwent a keyhole operation on a meniscus problem two weeks ago, originally prompting fears he could miss Chile’s trip to Brazil 2014.
Chile face Northern Ireland in Valparaiso on Wednesday, in their final friendly before the World Cup
The South Americans are drawn in Group B with defending champions Spain, the Netherlands and Australia.
