Ghana name 31-man provisionnal squad for Afcon 2015

The new Black Stars Head Coach Avram Grant has named a 31-man provisional squad for the 2015 African Cup of nations in Equatorial Guinea.

Debut call ups have been handed to four Ghanaian players based in Europe with former U-20 stars Frank Acheampong and Alfred Duncan making a return to the side.

Grant handed surprise call-ups to un-capped quartet; Enoch Adu Kofi of Malmo of Sweden, Ibrahim Moro of AIK Stockholm also in Sweden, Daniel Amartey of Danish side, FC Copenhagen and Kwesi Appiah of Cambridge United in England

Defender Samuel Inkoom who plays in the MLS with Houston Dynamos will also join the squad that will begin preparations for the tournament.

Goalkeeper Ernest Sowah of DR Congo side, Don Bosco makes a return to the team and Alfred Duncan of Italian side, Sampdoria.

The Black Stars are housed in Group C with Algeria, South Africa and Senegal.
